What are the qualities desired in candidates for the priesthood?
- He must be a single baptized Roman Catholic male.
- He must have a devotion to and love for our Lord in the Eucharist and our Blessed Mother.
- He must have a great love for the Church and for the Pope.
- He should consider a personal relationship with God as an important and vital part of life.
- He should an ability and willingness to talk about his faith and experience of God in his life.
- He should a desire to serve others and make a difference in people's lives.
- He should be willing to sacrifice personal or material gain for the service of the Gospel and the Church.
- He should be recognized as being approachable.
- He should enjoy life, people, and have a sense of humor.
- He should the ability to lead and work with people of all ages.
- He should form and maintains healthy and mature relationships with both men and women.
- He should have a healthy self esteem.
- He should be able to perform well in college level courses and the requirements of the seminaries college academics.
- He should have good physical, mental and emotional health.
- He must be prepared to live the life of celibacy for the sake of the kingdom.
