The Catholic Communications Network, producer of the national award winning weekly live TV broadcast of the 9:30 AM Sunday Mass from Corpus Christi Cathedral, has announced that the weekly Mass is now available for online viewing at its website: http://www.GoCCN.org
The Cathedral Sunday TV Mass went on the air in 1986 and since that time has utilized Corpus Christi TV Network affiliates for its weekly broadcasts receiving several awards from the US Catholic Conference of Bishops for their excellence. During that same period the audio portion of the broadcast was carried live on KLUX 89.5FM. This past year, live audio of the Mass on the Internet began with the inauguration of KLUX Online streaming. The movement to put video online began as network officials noted the interest in listening to the KLUX online audio broadcasts of the Mass.
The Sunday Mass video is available online the Monday afternoon following the broadcast and can be viewed with the widely available Window's media player. Using progressive download technology, the video loads and begins to play quickly, but a dial up connection is not advised. Those interested in viewing the video should browse to the CCN homepage at http://www.GoCCN.org and click the link for the Cathedral TV Mass.
The weekly broadcast of the Cathedral Sunday Mass is underwritten by an annual grant from Christus Spohn Health System together with the support of area Catholics by way of the Bishops Annual Appeal.
