        Welcome!

Central Catholic Elementary is a community of educators committed to education excellence and the Catholic faith. Our school offers a wide range of challenging curriculum and extracurricular activities. In addition, we have a low student-to-teacher ratio which enables our teachers to have more individual time with each student.

We are open to new students and new families so please come visit us to learn more about the quality education offered at Central Catholic Elementary.

Incarnate Word Academy (IWA) exists to create a climate for learning with God as the highest value. Motivated by a Catholic philosophy of education and by the charism of the Sisters of the Incarnate Word and Blessed Sacrament, all levels--Montessori, Elementary Level, Middle Level and High school-- strive to integrate faith with high academic standards.

Administrators, teachers, coaches, counselors, and staff members work together to form a Christian community which initiates students as growing members into the faith community. We create an atmosphere that allows students to be genuinely aware and curious; to do their personal best with every endeavor; to be humble and honest; to think with an open mind, logically, accurately, critically; and to develop personal talents.

A great education is the foundation a life is built upon. It determines how far a child will reach and how far they can go. Incarnate Word Academy combines tradition and faith to provide an opportunity for academic achievement, spiritual fulfillment, and personal accomplishment to each child that walks through our doors.

Most Precious Blood Catholic School was established in 1968 as an extension of Most Precious Blood Catholic Church. Our school fosters an environment where faith is part of the learning experience. Christ is invited into every classroom and is the inspiration in all we do.

Students are challenged academically as teachers integrate the Gospel Values across the curriculum.  Accelerated Reading and Accelerated Math are used to help catapult students towards reaching their full potential. Additionally, MPBCS offers Intramural Sports, Library, Computer, Music, and Spanish.  Teachers at MPB are highly educated, well formed in their Catholic faith, and have a passion for Catholic Education.

Prayer is part of each day and students are able to participate in different ministries.  Our school community gathers together for Mass each Monday and Friday, where they serve as lectors, choir members, altar servers, gift bearers, and multimedia operators. Our great love for Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament leads us to spend time with Him each First Friday of the month with Adoration / Benediction.

We welcome you to be a part of our family, where together with Christ we can learn and grow together, and where students and teachers strive to live our school motto:

“Doing our best for the glory of God.”

        HISTORY

Sacred Heart School is a member institution of the Department of Schools, Diocese of Corpus Christi, and is a principle part of the education ministry of Sacred Heart Parish, Rockport, Texas. It is a not-for-profit PreK-5 school, serving student’s ages 3 years through the fifth grade.

Sacred Heart School was founded in 1923 in a small one-room building where classes were taught by the Incarnate Word and Blessed Sacrament Sisters of Corpus Christi. Although closed for a time, in 1982 the school was reopened and enlarged under the direction of Father Gregory Deane. The present facility was extensively remodeled and expanded in 1996-97 under Monsignor Louis Kihneman III. Sacred Heart Church parishioners, the Knights of Columbus (Council 8028), Columbian Ladies, and Gregory Ladies have played an instrumental role in the re-establishment and continued growth of this progressive Catholic institution.

The 1993-94 academic year marked the inauguration of the School’s Primary Montessori instruction program for 3, 4, and 5 year olds. A traditional elementary classroom setting and curriculum continues to challenge students in grades one through five.

        Accreditation

The school is accredited by the Texas Catholic Conference Educational Department under the auspices of the Texas Educational Agency and is an institutional member of the National Catholic Education Association.

        Administration

The Pastor of Sacred Heart Catholic Church is the chief administrator of all parish activities. The Principal administers the operation of the school. An elected School Advisory Council serves in an advisory capacity.

        Staff

The school faculty is comprised of qualified personnel. All staff and faculty attend various educational and religious workshops and classes throughout the year in order to enhance their skills in the classroom.

        Student Code of Conduct

Sacred Heart Catholic School has the following Code of Conduct that is expected of all students:

Each student must respect the rights and privileges of other students, faculty, and staff. Students will exercise their rights and responsibilities in compliance with rules established for the orderly conduct of the school’s educational and spiritual mission. Students who violate the rights and privileges of others will be subject to disciplinary actions. The right of interpretation of the school rules is reserved to the judgement of the administration of Sacred Heart Catholic School.

        Welcome!

Thank you for your interest in St. Patrick School. At St. Patrick, our mission is to educate children to know, love, and serve God through religion, academics, physical activities, and community service. The faculty and staff approach this endeavor in partnership with parents. St. Patrick is a parish school within the Diocese of Corpus Christi located in Corpus Christi, Texas. Established in 1950, and accredited by the Texas Catholic Conference Education Department by the authority of the Texas Education Association, we serve 320 students in grades PreK-3 through six.

As a Catholic school, religion is the foundation of the curriculum and influences everything in the school. The religious curriculum includes instruction in the tenets of the faith, an understanding of the Catechism of the Catholic Church, and, just as importantly, instruction in how to live one’s faith through action.
