From coastal water and farming and ranching communities to the high-tech educational and business communities of the Coastal Bend, we exist to encounter Christ and bring this encounter to others through the gifts of the Eucharist, the Holy Spirit, and the Word. Together we educate, catechize and evangelize the Good News of the Gospel.

State of the Diocese
State of the Diocese is an evening where parishioners of the Diocese of Corpus Christi and all come together as Bishop Michael Mulvey provides updates on the state of our Diocese, where we are now and where we want to be.
We celebrate being Catholic together and thank the Lord for the great gifts He gives us every day.
Not only is this a great way to hear what is happening in the Diocese, but also a chance to mingle and meet other Catholics throughout our 12 counties, learn about vocations, youth and young adults, communications, and so many other programs you may have heard about but want to know more about.
This year, State of the Diocese will be held on the evening of October 25, 2023 at Richard M. Borchard Regional Fairgrounds. It truly is a great event for the whole family, and dinner is provided. All are welcome. We just ask that you register.

National Eucharistic Revival
Purpose, connection, healing, nourishment –– the answer to every longing of the human heart is contained in the gift of the Holy Eucharist. This year, the Solemnity of Corpus Christi (June 19), marks the beginning of the National Eucharistic Revival, a three-year grassroots initiative of devotion and belief in the Real Presence of Jesus in the Eucharist led by the Bishops of the United States in response to the Holy Spirit’s invitation to renewal. Diocesan Eucharistic Congress 2022
June 27 - It was an amazing and beautiful time celebrating the true presence of Jesus in the Eucharist and rejoicing in the 110th anniversary of our Diocese. Thank you to all who made the Eucharistic Congress a success and most of all thank you to all who were able to participate in person. Videos, photos, and resources from all the events that took place between June 16th and June 26th will soon be made available.

The Advent season is a time of preparation that directs our hearts and minds to Christ’s second coming at the end of time and to the anniversary of Our Lord’s birth on Christmas. From the earliest days of the Church, people have been fascinated by Jesus’ promise to come back. But the scripture readings during Advent tell us not to waste our time with predictions. Advent is not about speculation. Our Advent readings call us to be alert and ready, not weighted down and distracted by the cares of this world (Lk 21:34-36). Like Lent, the liturgical color for Advent is purple since both are seasons that prepare us for great feast days. Advent also includes an element of penance in the sense of preparing, quieting, and disciplining our hearts for the full joy of Christmas.
