The Knights of Columbus invites everyone to enjoy a delicious plate of BBQ chicken on Sunday, Jan. 14 from 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Each plate will include a ½ BBQ chicken and sausage with all the trimmings. A Live Well with Diabetes seminar will take place on Saturday, Jan. 20 at the Our Lady of Perpetual Help from 8:30 a.m-2 p.m. in the parish hall (5830 Williams Dr, CC.) The event is presented by the Office of Catholic Schools, Texas A&M Health Diabetes Education initiative, and the American Diabetes Association. Class topics include tips on healthy eating, getting the right amount of physical activity, medications, blood glucose monitoring, and much more. Join the Diocese of Corpus Christi for the 2024 Texas Rally for Life, a day-long event, on Saturday, January 27, at the Texas State Capitol in Austin! This is a great opportunity to advocate for the dignity of life from conception until natural death. The Diocesan Office of Youth Ministry, in conjunction with the Respect Life ministry, is sponsoring 3 charter buses and encouraging all youth groups and adults to attend. The buses will leave from St. John Paul II High School at 5 a.m. and return at 9 p.m. The cost is $25 per seat and is open to youth and adults. Space is limited, so reserve your spot now! Come celebrate the 100th day of school at OLPH Academy on Saturday, Jan. 27. Starting at Noon the school will show their appreciation and give back to the community by handing out lunch bags with a sandwich, chips, and water until 100 people are fed. First come, first served, until food runs out or until 2 p.m.
