Bishop Garriga Middle Preparatory School Cheerleaders (Crusaders) hosted a successful Kiddie Cheer Camp on July 26 in the school’s gymnasium. Over 40 girls practiced kicks, chants, dances and cheers under the supervision of the Crusaders’ cheerleaders and their sponsor and math teacher, Lisa Hernandez.
The girls looked very excited as they learned and practiced their cheers. The audience included parents and grandparents happy to see their little girls cheer and dance with their group. The Crusaders’ cheerleaders also performed a few cheers for the crowd to see.
The Crusaders' cheerleaders have been busy with practices. Besides hosting the Kiddie Cheer Camp, they have attended Modern American Cheer for stunt clinics to prepare for next week’s Universal Cheerleaders Association (UCA) cheer camp.
“The girls are working really hard, and I’m very proud of them,” Hernandez said. “Bishop Garriga is ready to see the cheerleaders in action at the start of the football season.”
