Incarnate Word Academy students from the elementary, middle and high school levels are collecting toiletry items, gently used backpacks, tote bags and cash donations as part of the school’s “Whoever Welcomes a Child” service project.
Items and voluntary cash donations from the “Whoever Welcomes a Child” service project will aid refugee children and their families coming in from Guatemala, El Salvador, and Honduras.
Items and voluntary cash donations may be dropped off at the IWA High School Level front office by Friday, Aug. 29.
The items will be packed into vehicles on Friday, Aug. 29, for transport to the temporary crisis center at Immaculate Conception Cathedral in Brownsville.
The “Whoever Welcomes a Child” service project is a perfect example of how IWA strives to become at image in Christ within the community.
