Fr. Alfredo Villarreal, Pastor of St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church in Kingsville celebrated Mass at the parish.
Joining Sr. Agueda Durazo at the celebration were her fellow community sisters, two whom traveled from Mexico for the anniversary, Sr. Reyna, MDPVM, and Sr. Lupita, MDPVM. Members of the Missionary Sisters of Jesus, Mary and Joseph (MJMJ) and the Director of Consecrated Life & Women's Vocations for the Diocese of Corpus Christi, Sister Mary Claire Strasser from the Society of Our Lady of the Most Holy Trinity (SOLT) also joined the festivities.The Missionary Daughters of the Most Pure Virgin Mary (MDPVM) have a convent in Kingsville, Texas. Their charism is an intense interior life with a spirit of total sacrifice, purity of heart, detachment and refined charity like that of Jesus and Mary for the service of the Church in the brethren.
Their ministry includes Christian education of youth, pastoral activities directed toward religious education of the people of God, retreats and the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius and missions.
