Incarnate Word Academy freshmen and sophomores participated in faith-based retreats on Sept. 7 and 15 at St. Philip the Apostle Church. The retreats provided time for students to come together outside of the regular school setting to explore, experience, and reflect on the presence of God in their lives and to share this experience with one another. The retreats focused on unity and students were introduced to movements in the Church, such as Focolare, which serve to remind us that we are all part of one human family created in God's image and participating in God's plan of salvation. At each retreat, students led the day with Morning Prayer followed by group activities, Mass, and more. |
