This week all 12 Catholic schools in the Diocese of Corpus Christi have joined other Catholic schools across the nation in celebration of National Catholic Schools Week. Many schools began the week by celebrating Mass with their parishes on Sunday, Jan. 30. This year the celebration includes the theme "Catholic Schools: Faith. Excellence. Service."
The Catholic Church will hold its annual celebration of World Day of Prayer for Consecrated Life on Feb. 2, and parishes will commemorate the event over the weekend of February 5-6. This event is a special time for individual parishes to celebrate the gift of consecrated life and pray for men and women discerning a consecrated vocation with the global Catholic Church.
Many Gifts, One Nation will begin Feb. 1. Many Gifts, One Nation is a day of giving for Catholic Schools in the Diocese of Corpus Christi. One day a year, for 24 hours, our participating schools will have a dedicated site open for monetary gifts from anyone wanting to give back to their Catholic school of choice.

2021 was a tough year for students at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. The covid pandemic forced students to stay home and study online for more than two semesters. The "Traveling Monstrance" began its tour in the Diocese of Corpus Christi during the month of January this year. Family and friends celebrated the life of Sarah Ann McNeely Fitz on Jan. 18 at Corpus Christi’s Dorothy Day Catholic Worker House on 210 Carrizo Street. She is best remembered for feeding, clothing, and sheltering homeless men and women from the 1990s to the present day.

Young men from St. John Paul High School prepare for the Exodus 90 challenge. These juniors and seniors will be led by their teachers Matthew Heeder and Benjamin Nye through the Exodus 90 program, which is a 90-day spiritual exercise for men based on the pillars of prayer, asceticism and fraternity.
