Online Adult Volunteer Application for a Background Check

• Complete the online Volunteer Application – this is a required screening for all Volunteers
• This online application requires a valid Driver’s License, or a State issued ID Card
• If you do not have a DL or ID card it is recommended that you complete a paper application
• Please enter all data carefully – mistakes or incomplete fields will slow the process
• Once the application has been submitted continue to Step Two–SE Training online course
• Background Checks Expire every three years

• Training must be completed on a tablet, laptop, or desktop – the training site is not mobile friendly
• Use Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari as your internet browser
• Training requires creating a User ID and Password
• An email address is required for password reset and confirmation email of completed training
• Safe Environment Training Expires every three years
• Print or save a copy of your Completion Certificate if desired
• Youth Volunteers are not approved to take the online adult training. Modified, in-person courses are available at their respective diocesan location

Blue Cards will no longer be issued. A record of the completion of your training is automatically sent to the location of service.
